Benetton Group is making investments to increase its supply chain transparency. Knowing where and how garments are produced is not only a priority for the end consumer, but also a risk management tool to prevent vulnerabilities and address possible disruptions in the value chain. The pending European legislation, taking into account the digital product passport and the due diligence directive, will make traceability a key element in creating a balance between cost-effectiveness and competitiveness for textile companies. Thanks to the work done to build a long-term business relationship based on mutual trust and transparency, today Benetton Group can publish a list of suppliers that includes company name, address, employees’ range, percentage of male and female workers, processes performed, if any form of workers’ representation and Collective Bargaining Agreement. In addition, suppliers are classified depending on the items they produce, whether apparel, accessories and shoes.
The suppliers list includes tier 1 suppliers (manufacturers and other garment process facilities), tier 2 suppliers (weaving and processes on fabrics) and tier 3 (spinning and processes on yarn) located in several countries all over the world.
Due to the impact they have on the environment, we pay particular attention to wet process factories, performing dyeing and washing processes on yarns, fabrics and finished products with a dedicated program.
